It's been awhile since we've had a proper update, so here's your friendly neighborhood Narifia again with some big plot updates, tidbits of news, and best of all: another new member! ^_^
◈ Gen 1's first major plot point is well under way as the Pridelanders and the Sani's first battle with the rogues left Queen Tanya severely wounded, her daughter Layla captured, and Queen Nala also caught in the crossfire and dragged away with Layla as the rogues made their escape. Tensions are high as both the Sani and the Pridelanders grieve over their captured loved ones and try desperately to find them and get them back, and some harsh words are said between Sarabi and Tanya in the heat of the moment. Sarai and Amadi go on an early morning mission to try to locate the missing Layla and Queen Nala, only to discover that the rogues had abandoned Nala some time ago and are now quite a long ways away.
The current status of affairs is that Layla is still within the rogues' grasp, and Nala is missing without a clue as to where she's ended up... and all the while, Sarai is subtly laying down the groundwork for Narifia to somehow be to blame, and poor Leah fights hard to cope with her knowledge of Sarai's schemes and Amadi's recent confession of love...
◈ In the Outlands, another plot is on the rise as the lioness Shetani is introduced to the rest of the pride and receives a mixed reception. While Shetani gets acquainted to everyone, Decimus takes Narifia aside and lets her know in no uncertain terms that he feels it's time that she and Morobi start thinking about producing heirs for the security of the pride's future. In the meantime, two figures from the Outlands' past lurk on the edge of the territory, and Azra makes her presence known...
◈ In Busare, Thried is tested by King Hadhi and manages to best Prince Nyota in combat and impress the King. Hadhi allows Thried to join the pride and orders Mahiri to show him the territory. Along the way, they bump into Byron and Lisani, who each have their own unique opinions on the new pride member. Meanwhile, pride member Samaki is reflecting on her past year in Busare when a nearby rustle disrupts her from her thoughts...
◈ A huge thanks goes out to Summer, Ace, and our newest member Samaki for their amazing contributions to the plot thus far! Looks like Gen 1 is going to be full of excitement for some time to come!
◈ And on that note, let's all give a warm welcome to our newest member, Samaki! Welcome to the roleplay, Sama ^_^
◈ We'd also like to extend a note of gratitude to Savu from DeviantArt, who has allowed Samaki the use of her character Azra for our roleplay. Thanks, Savu!
Updates and Changes Made:
- I've managed to make a small amount of progress with the Plot Outline/Overview thread: Chaper 3 is now updated!
- Due to the lack of applicants, I am in the process of filling the Graveyard Clan Khan position -- as well as brewing up a plot with the Graveyard Clan hyenas that should prove to be quite interesting
