The lions and lionesses of the Pride Lands are tradition-bound and mostly peaceful. However, due to the events of the past with Scar and his mate Zira, many older members harbor raw feelings fed by terrible memories under the oppression of Scar and the warfare of Zira. Thus, their relationship with Narifia and the newly formed Outlander Pride is at the moment a shaky and fragile alliance that, in truth, only exists because Kovu and Kiara's son Morobi is the Outlands' King.
