A Special Update, With Special Thanks!

Narifia here, bringing a quick but special update!

Zurina and Decimus have very kindly given their permission for Kai and I to borrow their characters in their absence in order to catch up with the plot and get things rolling again! This is a much appreciated gesture, and I for one look forward to getting things started!

As you know, the plot has been set at a kind of stand-still for awhile now, due to a huge part of our main characters being, well, unplayable without Zuri and Deci (and Sara, too!). Without the presence of these important characters, the main plot simply could not progress beyond anything but filler. Zuri and Deci have been busy, so they have very kindly agreed to allow us this chance to catch up and get to the meat of the story a bit faster until they are able to return and resume control of their characters.

A special, special thanks goes out to you, Zuri and Deci! This gesture is much appreciated, and I'm sure that Kai and I will do our very best to play your characters correctly (and if we happen to fail epically, you can always throw rotten tomatoes at us ).

10/19/10 Minor Updates:

I didn't see the point of starting a whole new thread for such small updates, so I just decided to add them on here. A few things to note:

--The Plot Outline/Overview section has been updated to reflect recent events. It is also undergoing a small cosmetic update.

--All "Continued From/Continued On" links have been updated to eliminate the long, ugly thread urls from posts and condensed to look much nicer and less obstrusive.

--Thread counts on all boards have been recounted and updated, so there are no longer any ugly negative posts on any boards

--Throughout the next couple of weeks, I will be working on updating old FAQs and guides in the Information section. I will also be working on minor cosmetic changes and updates, and I may even be able to start working on a new banner for the forum and some nice custom images, too!

10/20/10 Minor Updates:

--The Plot Outline/Overview section has had a small cosmetic re-vamp. I hope you'll find that the new layout is now easier to follow and much neater and nicer-looking than it previously was

--My next project is to completely re-vamp the Roleplaying Tips section, which has been re-named to the Roleplay Guide and Tips section. I'm in the process of creating a two-part guide that will include a section on tips for beginning roleplayers as well as guidelines for new members to follow when creating characters for this forum and roleplay. If anyone would like to contribute to this section and help me out, that would be much appreciated!

--There is a new sub board in the Announcement section called the Announcement Graveyard, where old announcements will be archived and laid to rest.

10/24/10 Minor Updates:

--The Roleplay Guide and Tips section has had a major update and revision. A big thanks goes out to Kai for her help in writing several parts of this Guide!

--The Rules have received a complete overhaul and update.

--If you haven't already noticed, there is a nice new Circle of Life/Sun icon on the main page of the forums for each board! I will be making a "highlighted" version that will display when there are new posts to be read in a board. To give credit where credit is due, the Sun icon came from the Super Nintendo version of The Lion King game by Virgin Interactive. I may be grabbing more sprites from the game for more custom images on the forum, or maybe not. Time will tell

--There are a few new boards to take note of. First of all, there is now a Rea Life Bio and Contact Info board in the Extras category for posting your contact info and an optional Real Life Bio, if you are interested in doing such a thing. Providing contact info however is now required before joining the forum. No, it's not because we're stalkers--it's to prevent the forum from falling into another long period of inactivity by having a means to contact members who become inactive. See the updated Rules section for more details.

The next new board you might notice is a new sub-board in the Characters board, called Inactive Characters. Basically, characters whose player(s) become inactive for longer than one month without prior notification will have their profiles moved here and "quarantined" until the player comes back to claim them. Characters that are quarantined for longer than one month will be wiped from the roleplay or replaced with another player/character.

Finally, there is now an Advertisements sub-board in the OOC board, which has also been re-named the OOC/Off-Topic board.
